Google AdSense: Ad Types
Alright…let’s continue on with the AdSense program. Now you get the basic idea of AdSense for Content. Lets move on to the other types of ads! |
AdSense for Search – Just like the one on www.google.com. But a little better. When somebody types in a keyword in the search box, it will lead to a result page. The good thing about AdSense for Search is that you can customize your results page and make it look like your website! When a user clicks on a result on the page, boom – you get paid!
Referrals – This is another useful type of ad. The name says it all! Referrals! And with Referrals 2.0 released, this can be very useful. I’ll explain Referrals 2.0 later on. The way Referrals work is that when you have a referral ad on your site, most of the ads require the user to download or sign up. For example, the Firefox ad you see all around. ‘Get Firefox With Google Toolbar’. You don’t get money right away, though. Once the use downloads Firefox, and uses it for the first time, THEN you get paid. Some conditions apply too. For example, you will only get paid only if the user who downloaded it haven’t previously installed Firefox before! Still, referrals are very useful.
Okay…I guess you know the basics of all the ads now…lets go deeper into one type of ad – referrals (coming soon).
